About this new topic:
We’re continuing with our “Get to Know Us” feature. We hope this gives you a little insight to people who make NGT tick. This post features Ricardo G. who is a help desk manager.
Q&A’s for Ricardo:
Q: Where is your childhood home?
A: Des Moines, Iowa
Q: Where’s your favorite place in the world and why?
A: My favorite place in the world is any beach I can relax on. The fewer people the better.
Q: What are three things still left on your bucket list?
A: 1. Travel
2. Eat different local cuisines
3. Be a good dad.
Q: What makes you laugh?
A: A lot, I’m pretty easily amused.
Q: If your life was a movie genre, what genre would it be?
A: Dramedy
Q: What’s in your fridge right now?
A: A lot of leftovers
Q: What is a time that you failed, but learned an invaluable lesson—explain:
A: In my first month or so at NGT, I was tasked with deactivating a user account. My instructions said to remove an account from the exchange server. Doing so removed the account from existence and deleted a lot of data. Thankfully the team was able to recover, but I learned that day that sometimes what people think they are asking for and what they are actually asking can sometimes be two completely different things. So always make sure there is complete understanding before doing something potentially irreversible.
Q: How do you rely on others to make you better?
A: I’m a competitive person, so I rely on others’ drive to fuel my own.
